| Riley's Hip.......Handicapped guinea pig | 15 Jun 2005 20:15 GMT | 6 |
RIley's got a bum hip. Vet says he's got necrosis. The xray didn't show pieces of bone--indicating fracture. I wonder if he's got a deformed hip......I also have necrosis in my wrist--unknown to me my wrist was broken in a fall--and wasn't aware of

I wrote to let you know of our sick boy a while ago, and have posted a few updates. We're desparate. Here's the story from the beginning. Bud began getting urine in the blood, about 3 months ago. After a week we decided to take him to the vet. He was acting FINE. Then, the

| Dominance and gender | 09 Jun 2005 11:25 GMT | 1 |
I'm getting another pig tomorrow - he's going to be living alone until he's been neutered, hopefully sometime this summer - his owner is moving and gave the pregnant female to someone else; I said I'd take the male since I have an extra cage (kept Princess') and can keep him away ...

| New here and wanted to introduce myself | 09 Jun 2005 08:08 GMT | 2 |
I'm new to the newsgroup but not new to piggies. I haven't had a piggie for about 10 years. I have two (human) boys who are 5 and 3 years old and thought it would be nice to get them into caring for pets now. They both are so good with small pets and have a real heart for ...

| Farewell to Noodles. (Sneezing GP) | 08 Jun 2005 17:32 GMT | 6 |
It was too late for Noodles to be saved. I took her to the vet ASAP since she had breathing difficulties and hadn't eaten all morning. As soon as the vet started checking her, she began to bleed from her nose and died immediately.

I got myself and my wife a new pet yesterday, a nice young GP who we call "noodles". She was acquired from a pet store and was the friendliest one of the cage. I regret not reading more about GPs so I can give her the best from the

| Water in ear | 04 Jun 2005 02:31 GMT | 1 |
So I'm spritzing the boy off after the ride today and he moved his head and I sprayed some water into his ear. He shook his head a lot and then kept the ear back for about 10 minutes. Then he held it normally mostly but not completely. I watched him for a while and that's ...

| Update on Bud | 02 Jun 2005 19:37 GMT | 2 |
OK, a while back I wrote that we had Bud, a 2.5 year old boar who we were surprisingly told was a female! Also, that Bud was very sick. Well, Bud has started to eat and play and act like his/her self. The only thing is that we've still been seeing very red urine, like an
