| One GP biting the other - common? | 31 Aug 2005 12:52 GMT | 1 |
we've had them for 3 weeks now and they were both in the same cage at the store for who knows how long. Lately the larger one nips at the others rear and ear. It seems to happen soon after the fun stuff to eat is put out (fruit/veggies) the incidents don't last long and most if

| Apricots and Raisins? | 31 Aug 2005 12:50 GMT | 1 |
Was just wondering if you can give GPs apricots and raisins as when my mum gives our chinchilla her treat she tried the GPs on them and they seemed to love them. Are they ok for GPs as treats? Donna

| GP name | 30 Aug 2005 10:16 GMT | 1 |
My pig Pebbles just died over the weekend and I'm moving to a house in a small town. My friend's pig had two babies and one is spoken for. I'm thinking about asking for the remaining one.. I'm trying to come up with a name for the little girl. Any ideas?

| Wet Chin | 27 Aug 2005 21:49 GMT | 5 |
My son recently noticed that his pig, Rickey, has a wet chin/neck. The water bottle is in the same place. Has anybody noticed this before in their piggies? Is this something we should be worried about. Thanks

| How to keep piggies warm? | 27 Aug 2005 21:22 GMT | 4 |
They have their house to go into and always sleep next to each other. I've added more bedding so they can burrow if they wish, but what else besides turning on the heat can be done for them? A blanket or small towel would probably just get chewed.

| New Guinea Pig owner, some questions. | 27 Aug 2005 21:03 GMT | 8 |
Hello everyone! We've just got two female piggies, aged eight weeks. We got sisters as we thought they'd be more likely to get along than two unrelated GPs. Having never owned GPs before, I was wondering what sort of toys I can

| "Malfunctioning" Boar??? | 23 Aug 2005 13:13 GMT | 4 |
Hiya all! I have a boar which I have previously bred with three females - all had little piggies, which have gone to nice homes. However, he seems to be 'broken'! He was in with the three females he bred

| indoors vs outdoors and other such stuff | 20 Aug 2005 21:48 GMT | 2 |
I find this interesting. Some people insist that pets should be indoors so that they can live longer, be with their people, be watched daily and played with and so forth. Others are quite content letting their pets be outdoors - and

| New Guinea Pig Owners | 18 Aug 2005 22:54 GMT | 7 |
We're the new owners of two 10wk old female guinea pigs. For the first two weeks they lived in a small indoor cage whilst we awaited delivery of the outdoor hutch. This has now arrived. It's two levels with sleeping area and one level up

| Ladder/Upper level space for piggies? | 17 Aug 2005 20:19 GMT | 4 |
Is it safe to add a 2nd level area with a wide ladder so gp's can add a little excitement to their cage life? If so I assume it should not be very high. Is it ok to build a wooden ramp and loft for them? the little critters tend to compete for space sometimes and I'm sure

| How often do you change pellet food? | 17 Aug 2005 13:56 GMT | 7 |
sometimes I take out most of the bedding stuff that flies into the bowl and just fill it up again - should I be tossing it out and adding fresh everyday? They've never finished what I put in there and not sure if its because I've put too

| Piggy Play? | 15 Aug 2005 22:08 GMT | 1 |
a lot of noise was coming from the cage and we found the two of them running laps around the cage, sometimes chasing each other squealing, bouncing off the walls, bedding flying out the cage everywhere,etc.... it was hilarious to watch them go a bit nuts.
