hi, i am a new owner of a guinea pig and had a couple questions. first, she doesnt seem to like it when i turn the light out, is that normal? second, she doesnt like me and my brother at all, keeps running away from us and NO WAY are we allowed to pick her up.

I was cutting my guinea pig, Ceasar's, nails and I found that hisf ront leg paw had large hard thing instead of his usual soft pad. What do I do? Should I take him to the vet?

So, my hubbie worked hard to build it, and I worked to figure out what they needed to make it home for them. And we have happy piggies! Our boys are on the upper level, the girls on the lower and we have sawdust on the floor from popcorning piggies! It's nice to see them

not quite sure if its anything but the smaller one seems a bit warm. does not seem to be acting any different though.... my book does not mention body temp issues... Craig

My daughter's two piggies have been getting a daily mix of 4-5 different veggies and fruit along with the pellets and hay. Is this really necessary? Could they get by with this say 3 times a week instead of every day? they seem to be leaving the greens and I'm

we have two females roughly 6 months old. One has grown decidedly larger than the other. the smaller one is showing no ill effects but the size difference is noticeable. I've seen her eat all the time so she is not being deprived as I originally thought the other one was

Our piggie died last week and the whole family is very sad. I held him wrapped in a blanket in my arms as he was dying. We have been piecing together what may have happened or lead up to this and could use some help trying to understand what went wrong.

I thought I read here somewhere that it was not the best for cage tray. Looking for ways to make a larger cage, The Container Store, Home Depot, etc have some good metal shelving that can be adapted for walls but the tray is the big problem I need to overcome.
