OK, I need a review what what is good bedding for GP and what are bad.
I understand that pine is no good.  But what about Aspen bedding?  Also

Any recommendations on shaving the area or not and a post-lancing

Flash update08 Dec 2005 15:52 GMT4
Dear Group,
Now that Ginger is gone, I am afraid we are spoiling Miss Flash terribly.
We cuddle her from first thing in the morning until last thing at night and
shower her with treats.
Laurel and Hardy, a.k.a. George and Carlos08 Dec 2005 02:50 GMT10
I have 2 piggies: George is a rotund, slow-moving piggy while Carlos is a
slim, energetic piggy. I wouldn't normally be concerned about the
differences in their sizes and energy levels, except that George continues
to grow rounder and rounder while Carlos maintains his ...

Hello dear group,
A few weeks ago, I posted a message in which I did mention a weird

went away (well, it did fall off a few days after a gentle shampoo

What to do about benign cyst/tumor?07 Dec 2005 00:30 GMT4
Hello. Our pig has a benign cyst or tumor (not sure what the difference
is) right around one of his back legs (verified through bloodwork not
to be cancerous). It's growing quite large - bigger than a golf ball
now. He is happy, lively, eating well, and shows no behavioural

There was a little story in our local newspaper about the 'Moscow Friends
of Guinea Pigs' club. They held a fashion show for the little guys ! I
managed to track down the source and there are a few pics here..

Chew Toys.02 Dec 2005 23:19 GMT3
We Took one of our 2 guineas to the vet for a checkup and he recommended Oak
dowels for our cavies to chew on.  I'm not too sure about this so I thought
I would ask about it.  What do you think?  What other woods might be good
for the Cavies to chew on.  Ours likes plastic which ...

Lost my cavy today02 Dec 2005 16:27 GMT9
Hi all.  My 4 year old cavy Blizzard died Wednesday morning in my arms
while we were driving her to the vet.  She was lying on her back in her
cage when we got up this morning and she had seizures and couldn't seem
to hold herself up as usual when we held her.
