   Since having problems and always having to flip my pig over to check,
its now mad at me lol.. every time i pick it up it bites me. not hard, but
just a bit to tell me it doesn't want to be flipped on its back... its kind
of like instinct now.   any tricks to stop the biting/?

ok i know i must sound like a huge hypochondriac, i'm not worried about the
weight too much cuz i see her eating all the time, and pushing the other one
away who is twice her size.   But i think i mentioned that her genital area
was sticking out a little, well its still like ...

i got a new guinea pig friend for Roxy, some of you may remember me
mentioning Persephone.  anyway.  Persephone is female and one year old.  she
appears to be in excellent health, she was well taken care of in her former
home. etc.  but she poops a lot.  not just a lot, a lot a ...

Friends guinea had a HUGE cyst  on his side......Today it POPPED!
There is blood and other gunk coming out of it...
He is acting normal though

Hi I am new here and have a male and female piggy who just had 4
babies! We got the male neutered a week ago and he is really different
now. He has always been mellow but now he doesnt even hide in his
little house he just lies in the corner of his cage kinda out of it. I

Our guinea pig had two babies yesterday. One is perky and running
around, the other doesn't seem to be able to walk, or move much at all.
Her legs move when we pick her up, but she doesn't move around the cage
and this makes her not able to nurse much, as the only time she gets a

Hi, bit of a gross question (sorry!), but two of my girls have clear
urine and one of them is almost white and very cloudy. They all seem
happy and healthy.

my kid found a few patches of "pink" on the cage newspaper. Not sure
what it was so we held them most of the evening and kept them in a
floor pen to see if they would pee again so we could figure it out.
Well they both peed and it was normal.....

Re the earlier post about possible urine problems, if I remove the
pellets as a possible calcium problem, what do I need to give them that
they would be missing from the pellets?
they get daily parsley, carrots, celery and timothy hay.

Almost 5 years old, female, blood in urine, squeaking when passing
water. Last Friady Xray showed a couple of small stones in bladder, but
can't afford surgery. :-(
Removed pellets from diet, just Timothy hay, veggies, apples,  etc.,

 how fast should guinea pigs gain weight??   as i have posted  i got 2
babies about 3 weeks ago , so they are about 7 weeks old now, One of them is
almost twice the size of the other... Dora, *the smaller one* i worry is too
little, but i see her eating, and drinking,  but i can ...
