About the droppings...30 Apr 2006 16:43 GMT8
anyone know if I can use the used litter (with all the waste) in my garden?
We just bought some small cedar trees and we just planted all six and they
say to put shavings under them. Could I use the used litter?

I notice that someone has listed a certain MM importer on this page.  Not
sure why that doesn't violate the no personal advertising rule but there you
go.  Maybe you can add your farm since it appears to be okay it seems.
How to fatten up Hairy?28 Apr 2006 16:35 GMT11
Hairy seems to be quite healthy, looks good, has energy and appears to eat
well.  The problem is he's lost over 100 grams in the past 6 months while
the 3 girls (Hermione, Natalie and Penelope) have all gained weight!
Hairy is down to 820 grams from an average of about 950 (and a ...

Our little sweet friend is gone now.
She was the sweetest guinea, she would give kisses and snuggle under your
neck till she had to pee anyway. :)

Timothy hay27 Apr 2006 03:21 GMT14
What is so special about Timothy Hay? I give my guineas good quality
bagged hay from a major pet store in England. I've read the bags of
both and they seem to say the same thing, apart from Timothy Hay is
double the price?! The guy in the pet store just said that its sweeter,
Ginger has gone to piggie-heaven26 Apr 2006 18:28 GMT6
This morning Ginger passed away. He has spent his last day in
his favourite way: eating and sleeping in the garden. I am glad
that he has seen the sun again because he loved that so much.
Although I am very sad, I do realise that he has had (almost)

Update on Hairy and the girls - was "How to fatten up Hairy?"24 Apr 2006 19:17 GMT2
We saw the vet this AM and good news - they all got an excellent bill of
health!  Hairy is a little on the thin-side she said but no obvious cause so
the best course is just feed and monitor him.  She suggested some alone-time
feeding in case the girls are just scooping the best ...
Very worried about Lafayette21 Apr 2006 00:59 GMT7
His brother's barbering was covering up a severe mite infestation. I can't
believe I was so blind to it. It was only when he started to look really ill
that I finally took him in to the vet.
He is not doing well. He got Ivermectin, and a pallative to help him from
We are giving up on Twinkle, Can anyone help?19 Apr 2006 23:11 GMT12
Twinkle is a 3 year old boy, who suddenly stopped eating on us.  He
started loosing weight so we took him to a Vet who appears to be very
knowledgable and diagnosed him with a tooth infection.  After force
feeding him for a week while on an antibiotic, and getting his front
moving outside19 Apr 2006 15:49 GMT1
So this week in Sunny Ontario I have started to move my piggies out of
doors.   It will be at least three weeks before they can stay out full
time (for the summer that is).
I'm just curious.... how many people have built their piggies safe out
Water question18 Apr 2006 17:34 GMT12
Does it matter what kind of water the pigs get? I live in a house with hard
water. Is that ok for my piggys?
beautiful print ad18 Apr 2006 16:24 GMT1
There is an ongoing series of AMEX ads in the New Yorker where there is a
picture of an actor on one page and a short questionnaire that they filled
out on the facing page, ending with "What is your credit card?"  Answer =
