Allergy to pigs???27 May 2006 16:13 GMT8
After three years, one of my daughters (but not her identical twin!) appears
to have become allergic to her pigs.
She gets red itchy welts on her neck and itchy red swollen eyes.
I am wondering if there are any documented cases of a person becoming

Sounds23 May 2006 04:03 GMT6
I listened to our guinea pig, little man, and have a question. According to
a website, this particular sound means a warning, but he does it almost all
the time with interaction, especially when we pet his back. He acts and
seems very content, but he "vibrates" as we call it, and ...

well they did not like it.  put them in the kids old wagon filled with
towels, hay etc....

while!!
Currently I keep my guineas in an indoor cage in our living room, this
is fine in the winter, they seem very happy in it. The problem is, we
Commodities Market Update:  Duct Tape Futures13 May 2006 10:59 GMT1
Abscess.  LF, inside heel.
Even after 10 minutes of lunging (which is 9 minutes more than I have done
all year) he was sound as a dollar in both directions, always amusing when
you have the vet out on a lameness call.  ; )
Hiccups!11 May 2006 13:00 GMT1
Have you noticed any of your piggies with hiccups before? All three of
mine seem to get them every now and then. Sometimes there is a little
noise, but most of the time their stomachs just move as if they're
hiccuping, didn't know they could get this!
Timothy Hay10 May 2006 18:13 GMT5
My local grainery did not have regular timothy hay, they had EASTERN
timothy hay. does any one know what the difference is really? It doesn't
seem as green as the normal or smell as strong.. should i go back to regular
timothy hay???   i'm sure there is not a huge difference ...
Does Darla have PMT??10 May 2006 14:30 GMT1
Darla, my most outgoing guinea pig has been acting a bit weird
lately... I've heard that if you keep several females together then one
is likely to take the lead.
Well, Darla, every couple of weeks or so has a couple of strange days.
Itchy eyes...10 May 2006 07:43 GMT9
... not the G.P., mine!
After giving my GP some lap and spinach time, petting her & letting her
nibble on my fingers I my eyes got slowly, considerably itchy and irritated.
I'd obviously rubbed my eyes.  This happened several times before I made the

Itchy Eyes part II05 May 2006 01:34 GMT4
Ryan,
So let me get this straight.
I need to take a really BIG enema and 90% of my allergies will clear up?
I hope you won't find my lack of belief insulting.  I'm not a homophobe or anything but before I go shoving a garden hose up my a.s I'd like a little more information.
substiture for bedding03 May 2006 17:09 GMT8
Yesterday we took our little Marussia to the vet, who diagnosed
asthmatic bronchitis. Next to giving some medicines, he vet also advised
us to make sure Marussia sleeps on a small blanket or something like a
towel, so she would inhale as little dust from the bedding as possible.
