Hi all!10 Oct 2006 02:49 GMT1
I've been reading the posts in this newsgroup for quite a while now, and
decided to say hello! I'm a longtime pig owner, and currently have 3 of
them. I have had many, many pigs in the last 15 or so years, all of them
rescue piggies! (Except my first one who came from a friend's ...

My daughter bought a 5-month-old female guinea pig yesterday.  My
family tells me that sometimes this animal makes a quiet vocal sound,
which I haven't heard yet.  Could someone please tell us how to tell
the difference between a contented sound (like a purring cat) and a

We have one male guinea pig right now (Jimmy).  We want to get him a

uncertain of how safe it was for guinea pigs.  What is everyone's opinion on
this?

They don't seem to have been handled very much, and I'd appreciate some tips
Breeding Pigs06 Oct 2006 02:52 GMT15
Hey newsgroup.  My wife is really interested in breeding some guinea pigs.
We have one male who is quite docile.  We were seeking some advice from
others who might be involved with this.  Where should we look to find a

My New Babies :o)03 Oct 2006 05:29 GMT2
I checked the new babies last night and thankfully they're both girls,
because my income is VERY limited right now and I knew there was no way I'd
be able to get another cage for a male let alone have him nuetered. If one
of them was a male it would have been impossible to find him ...
