Dombo's story30 Apr 2007 16:18 GMT4
This is the story of what happened to Dombo, our beloved guinea pig. He
came to live with us on july 11th 2004, and soon became the center of
our lives.
One day he seemed to have trouble eating, so we took him to a local vet
green peppers29 Apr 2007 21:41 GMT8
I've heard that green peppers are suppose to be good for guinea pigs;
high in vitamin C.  Well, I bought 2 last night and though that I would
try them on my 5 guinea pigs.  But how do feed them the peppers?  Only
outside?  or can they take the inside too.  I think there HOT, aren't
Rest in Peace, Odin29 Apr 2007 15:21 GMT5
It is with great sadness and anger that I post today.
Sadness. . .because I lost my guinea pig, Odin.  He was only 2 years
old. .the youngest of our 8 guinea pigs.  Odin may have been the baby,
but he was our largest guinea pig, topping the scale at over 4 lbs
A little too much excitement for one day!27 Apr 2007 18:08 GMT2
Well, I hope the piglets don't suffer any long-lasting harm from being
terrorized by my roommate's dog, Domino (a Border Collie/Cocker Spaniel
cross), jumping into their cages!
First he got into Katonia's cage.  She had the good sense to go directly into
Kirsten has surgery tomorrow25 Apr 2007 08:30 GMT6
Well, on Monday night we noticed that one of our guinea pig's eye
looked swollen and inflamed.  It actually looked like it was bulging
out of the socket.  We took her into the vet on Tuesday morning.
There are 2 veterinarians at our client. .I'll call them the good
Speaking of food...24 Apr 2007 02:52 GMT4
Katonia has lost weight since Princess died, which leads me to believe that I
really should have had the girls living separately, since I suspect Katty was
eating most of the food.  However, Katonia isn't unhealthily skinny or
anything, so I'm not too worried about her.  Except that ...
Extra Tooth!!21 Apr 2007 20:47 GMT2
Ernie has had a third tooth growing along with his usual 2 top teeth.
The tooth is long and tubular and does not get ground down with his other
teeth as it is qhite flimsy and moves across the front of the top two teeth.
Is it okay to trim the tooth or is it a job for the vet?
2 vets told me conflict info19 Apr 2007 06:29 GMT6

FLIES! FLIES! FLIES!!!18 Apr 2007 16:26 GMT6
Hey all, ever since I moved my peeg into a real cage insterad of a peeg
playpen on towels, I have been plagued with attacks of little black flies.
I get rid of them and a couple weeks later they're back.  They hang on my
walls, eat yogurt, fruit, and bedding soaked with peeg ...

They seem to be happy, running around, looks like they are playing a bit.
They like to be held once I can get them....one squeeks a lot ...
