Guinea pig not eating, white substance in eyes29 Sep 2007 12:05 GMT3
I have two guinea pigs, sisters from the same litter, they're just
over two years old. One of them (the one who was always first to the
food) has been ill for a while. She had diarrhea a couple of months
ago, the vet gave her some antibiotics and we continued with them at
Introducing a new piggy27 Sep 2007 15:27 GMT15
Our guinea pig died last night after all attempts to get her well...
Her sister Nubbin is left alone in the cage and looks pretty sad and
is looking around for her sister. I know guinea pigs aren't solitary
creatures and Nubbin's only two, I'd hate for her to live alone for

for hours around the pig cage, I think just trying to figure out just
what they are and how to get in the cage.  the pigs seem to not care

So, this long-haired guinea pig turned into an Abyssinian guinea
pig.
He looks OLD.  Thin, losing his hair --- not mites though from the
looks of things, just old age.   His nails needed a really good

She seems normal otherwise and I haven't noticed her sneezing or
coughing, and the nose doesn't ever seem wet and runny. Should I go to
