I adopted Katonia from the Calgary Humane Society when she was about 4
or 5 months old.  Someone had found her in Nosehill Park in November
(for those who don't know, Calgary is COLD in November).
That was December 2004.

Another quick question. When we cuddle with the new addition, he makes
a squeaking-type of noise. What does that mean? Is he happy? He's not
struggling to get away and actually cuddles in more. Is he doing the
equivalent of purring?

Hello, I am new here.  We just got 2 ginger guinea-pigs 2 days ago.
Question: they seem depressed.  Do I keep trying to handle them, talk
to them etc or leave them to get used to their new surroundings in
their own time?

Today i saw Rupert stand upright on its back legs and sort of shake
itself...does anyone have any idea what that was for?
