Dribbel has arrived28 Apr 2008 20:27 GMT13
After losing our good friend Doodle last weekend, it was time to give
Droopy a new companion. And so yesterday, Dribbel arrived.
It's a very happy, vocal little guy... and that's a small miracle,
considering what he has been through. A big part of his fur still needs
Strong coloured piddle26 Apr 2008 17:31 GMT7
Yesterday I noticed the newspaper where one of my boys had urinated
was a strong colour.  Then one of them had widdled on a piece of
lettuce leaf and it was bright orange.  Is this from eating carrots?
I hope it is not blood although it was definitely orange and not red.
Injectable Baytril26 Apr 2008 05:38 GMT6
On Friday I took my piggy Darla to the vets as she had developed a
breathing problem, she was given a shot of Baytril which seemed to
clear things up by the end of the day and she was back to normal with
her eating and drinking.
another loss: Doodle25 Apr 2008 16:12 GMT12
Just a month ago, we lost Marussia. Now one of the healthiest piggys in
the group passed away: Doodle
He suddenly showed no interest in his veggies. He has a history of being
sensitive in the belly, and it didn't take the vet long to diagnose him
A new noise.21 Apr 2008 20:41 GMT4
Ginger-nut gets tamer each and every day.  He allows me to tickle him
behind the ears now instead of hiding from me.  When I pick him up for
a cuddle he sort of vibrates and I think there's a purring sound too.
Is this actual purring?  Hope so.
Guinea Pigs Exploring18 Apr 2008 05:41 GMT4
A few years ago the house backing onto mine was home to a white pig
and black pig.  Now the white pig would occasionally escape through a
hole in the hedge into my garden.  Nextdoor's cat would appear and the
white pig would rapidly retreat into the hole in the hedge.  The cat
Introducing a new female to my pair13 Apr 2008 17:43 GMT3
We have had a pair of female guinea pigs for about 9 months now, and
we have just bought a new little girl as we love our other two loads!!
however we are having a bit of trouble introducing them. We have a
large indoor hutch for the pair and a small cage for the newbie, and
Rupert falls for the old three card trick (again)09 Apr 2008 10:04 GMT2
Piggles, who is old and wise will often go over to Ruperts house (cardboard
box) and after a bit of nose banging and a couple of squeaks...before you
know it...steals Ruperts favourite carrot. Rupert falls for this trick
every time, however she always looks so sad at the loss of a ...
sleeping arrangements07 Apr 2008 06:59 GMT6
Hi y'all,
Our nights are getting cooler and I worry about my two boys getting
cold at night.  The hutch is free of draughts but it is on the grass
which is quite damp come the mornings.  I have been "wrapping" the
Chattering their teeth.05 Apr 2008 02:50 GMT33
We've only had our two boys for around 3 weeks now.  In the last two
days I've noticed the bigger one seems to be picking on the smaller
one.  The bigger one seems to glare at the little one and then they
both start doing what I can only describe as teeth nashing.  I didn't
