Introducing Heidi28 May 2008 10:40 GMT13
A week ago today, Droopy went to heaven. That meant our new guy,
Dribbel, was left alone. So we looked for a new friend.
We found Heidi at the animal protection agency, ready for adoption. So
she became Dribbels new friend, and it seams they are getting along

It's been 4 weeks now since we picked him up, and he is starting to feel

A random post about a few things...21 May 2008 09:14 GMT9
Whew, now finally my 2 boys have their own rooms and piece of run
each.  We've given them a hutch each at either ends of the run and put
a wire mesh barrier in the middle of the run.  They can still see each
other but can no longer attack.  It is a relief to have that sorted
My guinea pigs19 May 2008 20:40 GMT11
I thought that I would post a picture of all 7 of my guinea pigs (if I
can, using my computer instead of web TV), for Megan, and anyone
else.  I been talking about them lately.  I have 7 of them but there
are 8  in the collage.  The one in the middle is my Hutch.  She died

Lost Droopy17 May 2008 09:36 GMT7
Yesterday, at 10 pm, we had to let Droopy go. Just 3 weeks ago she lost
her mate, and although we got her a new friend right away, I guessed she
missed Doodle too much.
Last Saturday, she was diagnosed with an URI. She received proper
Maxine passed away this evening :' (17 May 2008 04:50 GMT12
Unfortunately my guinea pig Maxine passed away early this evening. My
mum found her this afternoon lying on her side very still. I picked
her up and cuddled her in my arms. For the next few hours her
condition deteriorated and she started to breathe noisly every 10-15
Behavior question .. bottom wiggle??17 May 2008 04:11 GMT1
Our male guinea pig will often stop in his tracks during his floor
time, exploring the house, and while keeping both front feet planted
firmly on the floor, he will rock his backside back and forth by
lifting one rear leg at a time, leg to leg, back and forth.
Ivermectin source in Canada?15 May 2008 23:53 GMT4
We have three piggies and we're pretty sure that they have mites. We'd
like to treat them with Ivermectin but haven't had any luck finding a
source.
Does anyone know of an online store in Canada (or somplace local to
Litter training15 May 2008 23:47 GMT5
I have been trying to do a toilet training on my children's two female
12 weeks old guinea pigs for 10 days.
So far, we have not succeeded it  yet.  Is anyone who give us a hint
to do it?
Rainbow Bridge15 May 2008 19:35 GMT2
I'm sure many of you will already be familiar with this poem, but I
will post it anyway in the hope that it will bring comfort to those of
you who have lost a guinea pig (or other pets that may have passed
on).

Going to the vet tomorrow because my guinea pig has been having some

isn't squeaking much and is very quiet.
Sad News About One of My Cam Piggies08 May 2008 03:23 GMT8
I am not sure how many of you here have seen my guinea pigs on their
webcam, but I had to put Meeko to sleep yesterday because of tumors she
developed on her uterus and bladder back in January. A spay and tumor
surgery bought her some time. However, all of the tumors could not be

At 8:55 am, our beautiful Marussia passed on. She had been suffering
from bronchitis for almost 2 years, but thanks to the care of our
wonderfull vet she managed to live those last 2 years in relative good
health... until last night. Throughout the entire day she was her usual
