I recently (in the last week) got the family a new hamster, and he is acting
wierd, I know they are nocturnal and so I don't expect him to go wild during
the day, but after the first couple of nights he seems to sleep more than
play. I have seen him eat and drink so he at least ...

At a "well hammy" visit with our vet today, he confirmed what I began
to suspect at mid-week...Fern is a boy!  His emerging scent glands and
a somewhat different back end-shape from Alice were my clues.  No
major cushions yet. We still love him to bits!!  All 47 grams of him

The pet shop where I bought my Syrian, last December `02,
seems to keep males & females together, and until they're sold.
They refuse to listen to reason.

have fur when they are born but mine is 2 almost 3 and he still dosnt

If you recall I rescued Pelota from almost certain "death by crow" when we
found him in our back yard about a week ago now. The thing is, he never

my teddy bear hamster is having babies... there looks like there is about 6 so
far... they are rolling around on the bottom of their plastic house... is there
anything i should do ?

one night, a couple of months ago, my campbell's dwarf (fido) had a
wet bottom.  of course, my first fears were about wet tail, but none
of the other symptoms matched.  she was still very active, still ate,
still drank, and her poops were firm.

I just bought a new hamster and I have a feeling the pet store neglected it and
