Our Black Bear hamsters are slowly turning brown.

now that ati has finally given birth to 2 babies again, i'd like to know
what are the things i should do cos the last time she gave birth the 2
babies ended up dead. is it true that i have to separate ati(the mom) and

Dolly, a new foster dwarf has had 4 babies on Saturday morning. At least one
looks like a mottled color. Very cute. Mom is pretty spunky and grouchy so I am
having to keep an eye on her when I am looking at the babies.

Okay, the babies are almost 3 weeks old, in fact they will be 3 weeks tomorrow,
and yesterday I saw that one of the boys tried mounting one of the girls.
Should I sex them now? Miki always sleeps with one of the babies and I think
it's still nursing but I haven't noticed the others ...

I'm still pretty sure Dina is pregnant.  I have had her on the right diet and
she seems to be liking it. Also seems to be healthy and she has finally started
building her nests(she's really pickie)   I'm just really needing info for
future reference.

Is it safe to put hamster parts (tubing, cages, feed bowl that is also
plastic) in the dish washer?  We've thought about doing this, putting them
on the top rack only & setting it for a short rinse cycle only (so no soap
