Patch has lost his battle with the skin complaint he contracted. He died in
his sleep a few days ago.
He'd been hardly moving from his nest and sleeping a lot for quite a few

Hamsters & Allergies17 Jul 2003 08:47 GMT15
My daughter has severe allergies to cats and dogs.  Does anyone know if
hamsters trigger the same allergy reactions.  She wants a pet so badly, but
the allergies have prevented us from anything more than fish.
Any suggestions.

I have a wonderful little cream colored hamster, William, that has been with
me for about 1.5 years.  Yesterday, I thought I noticed him making little
squealing noises, but I thought it could have been the birds in the
background.

Does this mean anything? I hate for him to pee all over his food.
Anything I can do to deter this? I give him unscented toilet paper and he
makes a bed out of it but most of the time he sleeps in his food dish.
