Dog Bones14 Oct 2003 16:54 GMT9
Hi....some of you have mentioned dog bones as a treat and to gnaw on.
ALICE and Humpty Dumpty will not chew on any of the commercial toys, so
off to Walmart and what to buy???  Is there a brand (small I would
imagine) and what to avoid. So really just a brand and flavor would be
Fluff is sick12 Oct 2003 07:04 GMT11
My precious Fluff isn't getting any better.  He was diagnosed with
demodectic mange 10 days ago and was given a shot of something
sounding like Imervectin.  I can't remember the exact name.  I
didn't care for the bedside manner of the vet, but another vet said
Please help! Nutcase is ill :(11 Oct 2003 18:54 GMT8
Hi there! I'm Kate and Nutcase is my hamster. I'm going to take him to
the vet tomorrow but I'm hoping someone here might be able to reassure
me or tell me what's wrong with him.
The right side of his face has swollen up a bit and the underside of
Do any of you have any rats?11 Oct 2003 15:47 GMT6
Hey guys, long time no talk. I haven't been on cause I had surgery a week and a
half ago. Well, I was wondering if any of you had any rats as pets. I'm getting
a couple rats today that I already picked out and paid for. They're such cute
little guys. I fixed the cat problem so that ...
Where can I buy a home for a hamster?11 Oct 2003 10:58 GMT24
Hi from England!
I'm hoping to buy a young Syrian hamster within the next few weeks.
(I've cared for hamsters in the past but have never been a hamster's
#1 human.)  I am seeking advice regarding appropriate housing.
Long time... no write... but I'm still here!11 Oct 2003 07:44 GMT3
Well its been quite some time since I have last written on here.  I think I
had just finished my degree when I last wrote, with a few posts in between
whilst I was working - so its possibly getting on for 9-10 months at least!
Its nice to see there are some new people who have ...
Say hello to Fluffernutter11 Oct 2003 07:41 GMT4
I ended up with a new ham yesterday....He is a very cute (sable?) chocolate
color with tan undertones.....He is long haired & has an adorable face!!!! He
is still a little shy & scared but with patience I know he will come around!!!
My hubby named him Fluffer nutter because he said ...
Flying visit.11 Oct 2003 07:40 GMT9
Work is keeping me too busy to read or post much just now - back soon.
In the meantime I found a great new way of excercising my hamster.
This method does require a highly co-operative hamster who is happy being
handled though..

Does any one know how i can encourage my hamster to use his wheel. He keeps his
food in it, and i am not sure whether he gets enough exersize asa result.

Bathing Sand09 Oct 2003 15:51 GMT3
We have a Syrian male called Hamish.
I noticed that he liked to dig around in his "potty litter" so when I
saw Chinchilla bathing sand in the pet store I though he would love
it.
Pumpkins and acorns08 Oct 2003 20:18 GMT2

Keera and Millie updates08 Oct 2003 02:20 GMT1
Thankfully, no babies yet. I think we are past the worry stage. I am so glad!
Lilyfer and Bree both lost their litters. I wasn't looking forward to losing
litters here.
Millie is starting to become very social. Keera is still sneezing when stressed

Well I got the ones you mentioned and as soon as I put it in Humpty
Dumpty's cage, he woke up, grabbed it and started going nuts..wore
himself out and took it to bed.  Now ALICE hasn't shown much interest
yet.  I got the plain ones
