Sick hamster?25 Dec 2003 03:46 GMT20
I'm not looking for a Vet here, just a little input from people experienced
with hamsters.  In the last two weeks my one year old female golden has put on

My teddybear hamster started stuffing the tube of his critter cage with bedding.  By doing so he ends up in the petting area ( his favorite spot) but then he is unable to get down to his food and water.  Why does he do this? Any suggestions would be appreciated

Hibernating or something else?25 Dec 2003 01:25 GMT5
My daugter's hamster appears unwell. When she checked him this morning
he was curled up and fairly moribund. We warmed him up in our hands
and he gradually came round and had a few fits.
He then started yawning/sneezing very regularly (noisy but no mucus).

I've been a member of this list previously and am considering getting
another hamster within the next month. I know there were some concerns

Dwarfs. I also rescue unwanted rodents - which usually end up being rats,
but I love them too -  anyway, I am interested in participating in
discussions, learning more, and maybe finding others who breed dwarfs ...
