| RIP - Fuzz | 04 Dec 2003 22:55 GMT | 9 |
It is with a heavy heart that I write about the passing of Fuzz. She was my sweet little black Syrian girl. She came to me in January of 2003 as a full grown adult. I'm not sure how old she was. She had been dumped in the shelter with her mom and sister. Her mom was adopted out ...

Speedy, our Syrian hamster, will be 2 and hald years old this Saturday. In the last couple of months he has begun to show his age. His fur has grayed, he sleeps a lot more, and exercises on his wheel less. In the last few weeks hehas some trouble climbing into and out of his cage ...

| Operation Covert Hammy was a success..... | 02 Dec 2003 22:01 GMT | 8 |
Well, all 13 tanks (14 hams) are now back in the apartment after trekking back in our cars from my moms house. They dont seem any worse for the wear, but I'm hoping the cold air outside and the stress of it all doesnt make any of them sick.

I've been having my hamster Chuck for over 7 months now. I came home, and Chuck was completely STIFF. I thought he was dead until I saw him breathing. About 20 mins. later he began to move again. Why was he so stiff? I was sad...and about to cry. I can't lose another hammy...not

| tanked up? | 02 Dec 2003 08:18 GMT | 13 |
Hi, i was just wondering what the group's opinion was on using tanks and the like to hold our furry friends instead of cages. I guess they might be harder to clean out, but would the advantage of less being scattered out from their home into ours out weigh this?

| canibalims :( | 02 Dec 2003 08:00 GMT | 3 |
My hamsters had babies. The babies are now 13 days old. Here's the trouble: from 11 born, there are 5 left. The mother keeps eating them, despite an abundance of food in the cage. And I'm talking all the food she likes. She also gives the remaining of the babies parts of the ...

| New Hamster - questions & info about him... | 02 Dec 2003 07:55 GMT | 12 |
Got the new hamster today. My friend named him "smokey" due to the dark gray color of his fur & that his fur is fluffy at the surface, giving a hazed effect like a cloud of smoke. The person at the pet store said not to handle him for about 3 days to let him settle into his ...

I have a quick question..... I have a 2 year old female Syrian (Lizzy) who has some persistent wetness in her genital area. If I were to guess, I would say wet tail, but I wanted to run by you all first. If it is, indeed wet tail, can I use the over-the-counter "medication" that I ...
