I posted here a couple of weeks ago about my hamster giving birth to
babies.  Well, they're 14 days old now and I was wondering if its ok to
handle them at least to clean the cage out.  (It's mighty funky in
there).   All 8 of them have fur, are eating whatever they can get

my ham definitely decided she likes to go left when climbing on, and the wheel
goes counterclockwise.  1% she tries the other way, and decides something's not
right, and back to counterclockwise.
do some rodents change directions a lot? or is it an orientation choice for

Okay, so we've got our first pet hamster...an adorable female.
Problem is, no one can agree on a name.  We've been calling her
"Hammy" but that seems so ordinary!
What should we name our hamster?  Any suggestions?
