MY HAMSTER JUST HAD BABIES!  HELP!11 Jan 2004 03:54 GMT12
My hamster just gave birth to what looks like a trillion babies.  To my
horror, she grabbed one of them and preceded to eat it like a piece of
apple.  (I think my 4 year old is now permanently traumatized.)   I
looked up online as to why she ate one of her young and found out if you
Welcome Garu!10 Jan 2004 14:58 GMT5
We finally decided that we were ready for a new ham after sadly losing
Nutcase last year. Today we went to the pet shop and found a beautiful
baby black bear hamster. He chose us, I think - we said "come closer"
to him and he did, then he waited at the front of his cage until the

extinguished from my life....
He was a beautiful ham & It took me 3 months till I could pick him up with my
hand but then he LOVED attention!!!

I got a new hamster today from Petco.
They said if the hamster is pregnant
I can return the babies. This is great,
a local pet store would never do this.

Can't say I know much about hamsters so i'm hoping for a little advice.
She picked him out of his cage a few minutes ago and he was shivering, his
Hello everyone07 Jan 2004 12:16 GMT19
After months of whingeing, my 8 year old daughter finally persuaded me
to buy her a hamster.  As I had kept a hamster years ago, I was fairly
sure I knew what I was doing when we went to the pet shop a few days
ago.  However the hamster I had kep when I was younger was  a Syrian,
