is it ok to NEVER give real FOOD to a hamster?10 Feb 2004 07:00 GMT11
do you feed your little ones cooked broccolli ever?
Like I feed hamtaro baked butternut squash, but not raw.
Which would you feed yours???
sometimes I wonder what they'd eat in the wild.

RIP Angel - 07/27/03 to 02/04/0410 Feb 2004 06:54 GMT4
Our little Angel passed away sometime during the day today.
We found her lying outside her house, appearing to have died peacefully.
She was only with us a short time, but was highly energetic, and loved to
run in her wheel as long as it made noise, if we fixed it so it was quiet,
RIP Nibbles - a tragic accident10 Feb 2004 06:46 GMT10
There's been a tragic accident.
Poor little Nibbles has died!  The Crittertrail cage came apart just enough for him to get stuck in the gap, but he couldn't get out.  I didn't notice until too late.
When I put the boys back in their room, I wanted to account for everyone - since ...

The Squeaks09 Feb 2004 00:33 GMT1
Do your hamsters make noise?  Mine tends to squeak repeatedly if she gets
woken up suddenly.  Anyone know why they do this?  My previous hamster used
to do this too every time his cage was cleaned.

Mixing different makes of cage and tubes08 Feb 2004 09:39 GMT4
Hi there. Does anyone know if different manufactured cages and tubes will be
compatible with the S.A.M. (made by Penn Plax) modules and 'toobs'. It seems
hard to get the S.A.M. stuff in the UK. Do the habitrail, crittertrail or
rotastak tubes connect???
Suggestions on the perfect cage?08 Feb 2004 07:18 GMT4
I was wondering if you guys can give me ideas on what kind of cage I can
buy for my hamster.  What do you think about the bottom of some cages
that allow waste to drop through?  I'm not too keen on those kinds of
cages because I'd figure not only would the waste drop through, so ...
Habitrail tubes?08 Feb 2004 06:44 GMT3
I read a forum about hamsters as well as this newsgroup. On the forum the
"pet experts" all complain about tubes on cages such as Habitrail. I use two
Habitrail cages for my two hamsters and both have tubing. I have seen no
problem with that. The agrument of the people on the forum ...

HELP 5 day old Dwarf babies and MOM is missing!!!07 Feb 2004 23:55 GMT6
Our pair of Dwarves just had 7 little ones on Friday night.  The dad
seemed to be helping the mom with keeping them warm.  Last night the
mom escaped and we can't find her.
Does anyone know how to keep these little guys alive long enough for
Pichu's midnight adventure.07 Feb 2004 20:33 GMT4
I came downstairs this morning to find that our male syrian had escaped from
his cage. I was worried about finding him but my hubby said 'look in
harrieta's cage(our female syrian)'
sure enough he was sitting in there with a big smile on his face.
