I just wanted to say how much I really enjoy this newsgroup and everyone on it! When I read a post where the hammie owner knows the specific likes and dislikes of their hamster, knows their daily - or nightly - routine, and knows each critter's personality, I just get warm, fuzzy, ...

My Syrian hamster had 10 babies who are now 15 days old and are starting to be handled mildly. Now there are only 7 babies! The other 3 have vanished without a trace! Is it possible that the mother would still eat her young even if they are 15 days old?
