We have now had him over a month which will make him around 3 months old.
He has grown considerably and his bum is now a great deal pointier than when
we first got him!  He is outgrowing his SAM cage so we'll be buying a new

hi all. i know it is a bit of a while yet. but thought i would ask this now.
how do hamsters cope in the summer?
is there anything i should be aware of?

I wrote awhile back about my crazy hamster who was quite the meanie.  She
would bite every human in the vicinity--right through your jeans if you let
her run on you.  If she were a dog she would have foam around her mouth
while baring her teeth and snarling with strands of drool.

This is my first time posting to this group, so it's kinda an
experiment.
My hamster's name is Peanut.  Peanut lives in a plastic container,
about 4 feet long by 1.5 feet wide.  It's a pretty good cage.  Peanut

I notice that my hamster's food (from the pet store) is made up from
different things, there looks to be what look like cornflakes, crushed pea
flakes, molasses (I think) and seeds of various kinds. I notice that my
hamster always eats the "cornflakes" first, and seems to like them ...

3 Syrians (2 permanent and 1 foster)
6 dwarves (fosters... but have a feeling they'll be here a while).
Unfortunately Buster escaped from his foster home and never came back *sigh*
