ketoacidosis31 May 2004 20:51 GMT10
I believe someone asked me what ketoacidosis was.  I took this off of a human
medical website (and changed it a little for hams).  It should apply mostly the
same way as hams.  The two instances where I had dwarves go into ketoacidosis
were when they were being transported.  It was ...
cats and hamster (do they mix)31 May 2004 18:52 GMT16
I have a cat and was thinking of getting a hamster BUT I'm thinking it's not
such a good idea.  Anyone have any suggestions?  Is it possible or will my
cat just freak out and try to get it?
Thanks,
vacation/camp31 May 2004 18:48 GMT18
Paul will be going to camp this summer. It will only be for four days but
since it is 160 miles away hubby and I are getting a motel in the same town.
I know what to do with the cat for the four days but what about the
hamsters. We have the air conditioner that we can set on auto to ...
Seafood?31 May 2004 12:25 GMT16
I have found that giving one a bit of crabmeat is well appreciated. But only
a tiny bit before I research this treat. I would not eat canned tuna myself
so not giving it to my gals but has anyone fed any type of seafood to
hammies?

I was just wondering if anyone knew any Chinchilla breeders in UK, were
North West, but don't mind travelling if the Chinchillas don't.  I don't
want to get them from a pet store as you never know how much they have been
breed of anything about their blood lines.  We won't be ...

Yucky tummy fur...is he sick?31 May 2004 07:37 GMT2
Has anyone's dwarf hamster ever got icky belly fur?  It looks almost oily for
an inch around his little scent gland area.  I don't think it's the Dreaded Wet
Tail because Pippin isn't acting sick at all (still tearing around like a
racehorse & eating like a vacuum cleaner & washing ...

I am afraid that she might not be seeing anything now. She is moving very
slowly as she walks about with little energy and does not seem to open her
eyes fully. One is closed a bit more than the other. She seems to sleep
allot under her covering of TP. She is under the water bottle ...

New odd behavior31 May 2004 05:52 GMT7
Every time that we clean up Fudge's (the Syrian) cage she just freaks out
for the rest of the day. Moving stuff around and fussing with her toilet
paper. She started this when we put the phone book on top to keep the busted
door closed. I will NEVER buy another Critter Trail. I have ...
Sawdust kicker31 May 2004 05:26 GMT9
My six month old Golden hamster (Brian), keeps kicking her wood shavings out
of the cage in one corner.
Right, at the beginning there were all the corners exposed in her cage as
she only had a small running wheel, as she got older, and bigger she stopped
chicken 31 May 2004 05:19 GMT6
I have seen on here about feeding the babies chicken. How do you prepare it?
Hubby and son will not eat chicken with me so it would be nice to have a
chicken dinner with the cat and the hammies. lol.
