Fudge figured out how to open that stupid door to the Critter Trail cage. I was up at 2:30 a.m. with a leg cramp and both of the babies were in their cages running on their wheels. When hubby got up at 4:30 the door was opened. He thought at first that I had put her in her ball and ...

I am a new hamster owner, having just bought a blackbear hamster a week ago. Right away i realized that she was a very energetic hamster, who sleeps only about four hours during the day, and about six at night. Most of the time she is running in her wheel, or out in the hmaster ...

| Emigrating Hams! :o) | 19 May 2004 07:21 GMT | 8 |
Can anyone explain why our dwarf hams keep moving from their perfectly (in my opinion!) comfy bed to their potty and then back again? They do it some point during the day and then work their way back down to the bed!? The potty isn't very big but they all squish in at once, but ...

| Bam al Fresco! | 19 May 2004 06:57 GMT | 10 |
(Topic stolen from alt.pets.guinea-pigs!) The temp the other day was 18-20C, so we took the hamsters out for a play on the grass when they were up for their food. Bam loves being outside, frantically pouching as much grass as possible (see pic)

| Thanks (bedding) | 19 May 2004 06:53 GMT | 1 |
Ever since I got my hamster Elanor in November, I've given her fluffy bedding. Then I heard about it on this newsgroup. A quick search revealed how bad this stuff is. So I took out all of the fluffy bedding and replaced it with some tp. Glad to hear about it before she swalled
