New on the newsgroup - Intro30 Jul 2004 20:07 GMT2
I am new to the newsgroup and I have been reading excerpts from about the
last year and a half.  (all in the last week)  I now have 7 Syrians, I
bought two "females" at different times and one of them ended up being a
male.  I know now that I should have not had them in the same ...
Casper & his Tum30 Jul 2004 06:59 GMT5
Casper's tum is looking very sore again, we are off to vets to see if he has
any advice.  It is in the same place as last time, around his scent gland.
Although it doesn't seem to be affecting him, it has blood there, no gunk
this time.  I wondered if anyone had any advice?

Well I got the nerve and put on some of hubbys leather work gloves and
picked up Watermelon and turned him over. How to put this nicely. Okay, he
is a boy. Didn't need to check the space or anything he just let me know
right away. Now I am putting him on a exercise regimen the lazy ...

We got Watermelon and Flip together. Now here is the mystery. I think
Watermelon is pregnant. He is suppose to be the male. Even though we haven't
changed his diet or any change in activity level he is getting really fat.
We turned Flip over today and looked and she has quite a ...
I would call it a miracle20 Jul 2004 23:33 GMT3
Well right now its 12:25 AM, and my hamster just got returned to his cage.
Tonight I went to bed at 8:00, completely exhausted for no reason I cant tell.
I woke up at 11:50, not really knowing why so all I did was go to the bathroom
and sit awake in bed for a while. I hear the ...
Real fighting or mock fighting?20 Jul 2004 12:24 GMT4
Last night, after cleaning the whole cage, my daughter and I noticed a bit
of an interesting behaviour and I wanted to ask you guys here what you
think.
The two ham girls (Campbell's dwarves) were very excited (we changed the

Silly little hams.19 Jul 2004 06:38 GMT1
I had quite a laugh last night. Capuccino and Honey Comb are in a habitrail
mini cage, the kit that has water bottle, food dish and a little exercise
wheel. I have never liked that wheel - it hang from the "ceiling" of the
cage taking up a lot of space and it has an open "channel" ...
More hams!! :o)18 Jul 2004 20:13 GMT5
Today we introduced Casper back into the band of brothers!! So far so good!
The boys have been playing together on several different occasions, and
their cages are right next to each other, so are already used to Casper's
smell, as he is to them :o)  Casper has gone into their cage ...

New Addition to the Horde - ???17 Jul 2004 23:42 GMT3
The other day I brought home yet another tiny tiny ham who needed adopting.
So far he's extremely friendly, though shy until he's out and about.  Sleeps
a lot and prefers the dark, but a real sweetie once he's out in your hands.
Not sure how much he'll grow, he's so tiny now.

My hubby was carrying her (like he always did) & she jumped off his shoulder &
hit the floor badly & hard...She didn't suffer but you ...
