Watermelon and Flip16 Jul 2004 01:19 GMT3
We have been putting the play balls close together to let Watermelon and
Flip a.k.a. Buy see each other before the wedding.
Every time Flip gets within an inch of Watermelon she will slap him. Not
hard and it really is kind of funny. Is this an aggressive move or something
Cutting nails14 Jul 2004 23:04 GMT1
I had to cut one nail from Brian's paw as it was getting a little too long,
I did this with ordinary nail clippers.
As this wasn't the easiest of tasks, would it be better for me to put a
piece of slate or similar so that she can scratch at to keep her nails in

My 2 darfs, Rocky and Smokey, who I got almost a month ago, are still

be starting the fighting. What will happen, is Smokey will aproach
Rocky, and Rocky will run away. I have not seens them biting each ...

past couple of days she has gotten really sick. One of her eyes has
been stuck shut for over 24 hours and the other is very cloudy, but
she appears to be walking around almost normal. He back end is also
RIP Tiny12 Jul 2004 19:04 GMT9
Our little hamster died last night. He was only six moths old so this was
totally unexpected. He had been well and active as usual so we had no
warning there was anything wrong. I keep thinking we missed something. We
will bury him under a bush like we do with the others who went ...
IS my hamster DYING ???12 Jul 2004 18:41 GMT23
Pelota has been making strange noises  - we rescued this Teddy Bear hamster
last year when we found him in our back yard - no one in the neighbourhood
claimed to have lost a hamster so we gave him a home.
He has something like a respiratory problem, like a cough or a gag reflex.
Chloe's New Cage12 Jul 2004 12:00 GMT3
I got my syrian hamster chloe a nice large tub yesterday, if anyone wants to
see picture then go here: http://tinyurl.com/3eq5f
She seems to be enjoying it and loves climbing all over the crittertrail
pieces :)
Is cat litter okay?12 Jul 2004 01:48 GMT16
I was wondering...
Is cat litter acceptable to use in a hamster cage?
Once I clean the cages, I'm going to designate the smaller one as the male's
"rec room" (that's my human designation, anyway, lol). For that environment,
Condolences / Tineke update12 Jul 2004 01:39 GMT7
Dear Hamster Friends,
There are so many hamsters who have crossed the rainbow bridge: Twixxy,
Morisette, Teddy, ...
To all hamster caretakers and friends who have lost a dear one I offer
Another life saved....12 Jul 2004 01:32 GMT9
Yesterday while we were both grieving for Teddy and Twixxy, Judy said that
she wanted to go out and save another ham and bring it home, not to replace
Teddy or Twixxy, that would be impossible, but to give us something else to
focus on, and to help another poor ham who needed a home ...
I am back!12 Jul 2004 01:25 GMT5
I used to post here a long time ago while I was still pregnant with my
daughter!
I just wanted to say hi and see how everyone was doing!
I still have Hamtaro and although he's old, he's still in great health!
chewing everything problem12 Jul 2004 01:24 GMT7
Hey, we are new to this.  My fiance bought me a panda bear hamster for
my birthday in Jan. He is now about 10 months old. At first we had
gotten an aquarium cage. Last weekend we bought him a plastic cage. He
is not chewing everything, on the corners of the tubes, side of cage
Slightly OT but cute nonetheless!11 Jul 2004 19:52 GMT6
I live by a river and was walking home from the supermarket today alongside
it.  Halfway along the path I noticed something by my feet, and it turned
out to be this:
