   I am very new to the group and am very interested in advice.  hopefully
later i can assist others in there hamster needs. First off i have what is not
so much a problem. but in reading a few of the other posts i am now concerned.

Today we cleaned our 14 month old female Syrian out.
She has a fairly large plastic house inside her cage which we give her plain
white toilet roll to make her bed inside out of.
Today however after being cleaned out she has chosen to pile the toilet

first is there a better type apple for her (she is not PG) over another. and
second when i cut the apple up should i disgard the core or not worry about it?
