Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 200524 Dec 2004 04:24 GMT3
Dear Hamster Friends,
I haven't been around very much in the newsgroup lately. So many

Nevertheless when Tineke and Fonske II passed away, you were there with
Injured Syrian Hamster23 Dec 2004 13:54 GMT1
This morning our 18 month old Syrian female was 'whimpering' (only quietly)
in her bed.
We woke her up to check on her and she has a graze (not quite a cut and
doesn't look like it's been bleeding) on her tail and is limping slightly on

I've recently acquired a Roboroski hamster and although I have 8 Syrians and
have the correct style of cage and I know that I'm looking after him
correctly  I would just like to know if there's any other tips I need to
know about in caring for him. By the way his name is Rupert and ...
happiness is a warm hamster19 Dec 2004 01:56 GMT7
I was out of town for a few weeks, so I sent Bistro to 'Camp Aaron'.  I
brought him home last night.
I carried him in the usual winter manner - in a small jar tucked in a
sports bra under my coat, with guauze rubber-banded over the top for air.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!16 Dec 2004 19:11 GMT6
It is colder than a witch's widgeon here, down in the 20s and the temperature
is heading down into the teens. And, in the meantime, Haji and I are sitting
here at the computer freeeeeeeezing to death!!!! It seems that my furnace died
sometime today and we are without ANY heat.
Welcome Cubby!15 Dec 2004 20:33 GMT6
Well, Cubby finally made it to our humble abode.  She is currently
isolated in my office but was willing to come out for a cuddle.  She is
totally black except for a thin white stripe that runs down her
belly...kinda like a skunk.  She is 15 months old.

My name is Haji. Actually, it's Haji Baba, but my crazy caretaker  calls me
Haji for short.

new MouseGirl habitat addition15 Dec 2004 08:01 GMT4
Hi folks, sorry I have been so absent lately but I am trying to get my

Anyway, I added a new "tub" to MouseGirl's home. It is full of sand and
rocks!
RIP Gracie - 07/11/03 to 12/10/0415 Dec 2004 03:42 GMT9
Tonight our dear little Gracie passed while in Judy's hands.
She had been slowing down a lot of late, and not staying up all night
running like she used to.
She was still eating her tofu every time it was offered, but her spry little
Bricks...15 Dec 2004 03:14 GMT10
I need your thoughts on this...
INSTEAD of the space-taking staircase, is there any reason I shouldn't
use a (fully scrubbed, clean) 1/2 brick to not only climb up on to reach
2nd level but to also use it as a chew thing for his teeth?

Grief or Disappointment?14 Dec 2004 21:23 GMT4
Ten days ago I gave a new little hammie a home, following the death of my first
one in mid-November. Although Haji, my newbie,  is a cute little guy, I am
having a lot of trouble bonding with him, as he is so different in temperament
from Hami. Of course, I realize that hamsters, ...
