| hamster lump and hair loss | 03 Mar 2005 01:31 GMT | 2 |
My haster has a lump on the side of its back with some hair loss. I thinking that it may be leaving its scent around its cage by rubbing and the lump is a gland. Is this correct? or should I takethe hamster to a vet?

| wire cages and escaping dwarfs | 03 Mar 2005 01:10 GMT | 4 |
Just a quick question about the fact that dwarfs are likely to escape from wire cages if the bars are too close. are they less likely to escape if the bars are vertical, rather than horizontal? if so - why do most cages have horizontal bars?

| Gut loading of crickets when fed to hamsters | 01 Mar 2005 16:02 GMT | 3 |
I've got a Syrian and Campbells dwarf, both of whom love eating crickets. Does anyone who feeds crickets to their hamsters gut load the crickets, as do people who feed them to reptiles? And before anyone asks - no, I don't keep these two hammies together!

Aladdin, I think, has had a stroke, but doesn't seem to be recovering so much. He can barely open his eyes at all and is stumbling around :( As nasty as it may sound (and as much as I'll miss him), I do hope he passes very soon.
