Greetings to all....
A presently un-named hamster adopted me this afternoon.  He's a Syrian
long-haired critter...tan and white.  When I got him home, I realized how
close in color he is to Hazzok!  I had wanted either an all-brown or an

Yellow Puss Like Stuff15 Apr 2005 10:59 GMT4
Wonder if anyone is aware of hamsters secreting a yellow puss like liquid
(looks like custard!) ... which we think is when it's urinating. We're going
to book it in to the vets, but any information in advance would be
appreciated.
Introducing Socks14 Apr 2005 02:36 GMT3
Went to the pet store today just to browse and there was this little
grey dwarf hamster that I had to have. It is completely grey except
for it's white feet which of course means his name is Socks. When I
first put him in the cage he met Hammy and they did not get along at
Black Toes14 Apr 2005 00:09 GMT4
Our dwarf hamster is just over 2 years old and she's had skin cancer for
almost a year now.  Otherwise, she's been fine, in fact, she is now more
active than what she used to be when she was younger.
However, over the last week or so I've noticed that the nails on her right

Scruff Update - You wouldnt believe me without this picture.....13 Apr 2005 03:33 GMT9
The title says it all, I've seen Scruff doing this many times, but I've
never had the luck to catch him with my camera until just the other day.
I never told anyone cause they wouldnt believe me, but this picture proves
its true.
Cricket12 Apr 2005 20:56 GMT4
I know Cricket is off topic because she is a ground squirrel.
I also know my friends here will understand.
In just two days Cricket will be on her way across the rainbow bridge.
She has cancer of the jaw. To ease her suffering we are having her put to
Big White Hamster has a name12 Apr 2005 20:00 GMT2
Afetr much pondering, I have decided his name is Renfield.
He's kind of creepy-looking, all white with red eyes,  and looks sort of
like a big ol' lab rat who had a tail accident.  He is still kind of
skittish and easily startled (due to his living most of his life in a
RIP May - 05/05/04 to 04/05/0512 Apr 2005 19:38 GMT3
Tonight our little sweet May passed away while in Judy's hands.
She had been slowing up a bit of late, though seemed far from stopping until
this morning when she barely responded to her morning treat.
She didnt suffer long which is a blessing for her.
The Great Escape!10 Apr 2005 08:25 GMT6
Last night I put Piglet in his ball, that was the second go in his ball
he had that day (but he only got 20 mins max each go!)
From where my husband was sitting in the living room he could see
Piglet so we didn't follow him around.
please help, enormous hamster09 Apr 2005 16:46 GMT9
We have two hamsters, a boy (Bagel) and a girl (Toaster).  Toaster is a
year old, and she has grown to be enormous.  I don't mean she's fat; she's
extremely large sized for a hamster.    The problem is that she can't move
around her cages easily anymore.
