Rocky and Smokey have passed 08 Jun 2005 22:59 GMT4
My 2 dwarf hamsters, Rocky and Smokey have passed away. They where found
in their cages, unmoving and curled up. According to the pet store they

Rocky was one who would climb onto our hands and bite if we attempted to
dwarves not being friendly to each other 07 Jun 2005 06:29 GMT53

old.  The other is female and 2 months old. They are in a 20 gallon

Originally I just had Hammy (the male). Then I got Snowball and they
Getting kicked off of a Hamster group07 Jun 2005 06:27 GMT7
Well, earlier this year I was asked to join a hamster group on Yahoo.
I decided, heck, why not.  The group wasn't really about exchanging
information, and there were a lot of un-hamster-educated people on
there, but I figured if I could inform even one person on there, no big
lumps around his bottom06 Jun 2005 21:50 GMT5
Hi everyone;
My children have 2 hamsters.  They share the same cage and suprisingly,
get along very well.  Well lately, we've noticed "lumps" on their
underbellies towards there bottoms.  I tried to determine if they were
Hamster Teeth05 Jun 2005 06:09 GMT7
My hammy Nita has some pretty long bottom teeth.  Apart from going to the
vet and getting them filled ($) i was wondering if there is anything else
i can do to try and get them down a little.  She doesn't seem to like
wooden blocks very much, or anything wooden.  She loves the metal ...
Something's wrong with Hammie's eye05 Jun 2005 04:16 GMT3
His left eye is closed for some reason. There is a little bit of crust. His
other eye is seems perfectly fine.  I wanted to put a drop of eye drops in
his closed eye but he keeps moving and it is impossible. What should I do to
help my hamster?!
Do hamsters dream?04 Jun 2005 20:03 GMT5
I love watching my hammie sleep..he is so cute. :-) I notice that sometimes
he twitches his whiskers and moves his eyes as he sleeps.  I know humans
move their eyes during REM sleep. This is when we dream. Do hamsters have
REM sleep? I wonder what he dreams about?

My daughter has a hamster that chews at his feet ,to the point where they

she's going to get something else and try that. Has anyone ever had this
happen to them? She has other hamsters from the same ...
Is something wrong with my hamster?03 Jun 2005 18:38 GMT5
I'm new here. I don't remember exactly how old my hamster is, but I think he
is over 2 yrs old. Lately he's been sleeping a LOT. I stay up late, but I
still never see him come out from his "nest." I'm worried that he might be
getting old or is sick or something. Can someone tell ...

Hello, I have been away working in America, and while I was there
unfortunately one of my boys died.  It was the one who I believed was the
oldest in the world - Becks.  His daddy who was looking after him, found
him curled up asleep, he was over four years old, not bad for a dwarf, ...
