His left eye is closed for some reason. There is a little bit of crust. His other eye is seems perfectly fine. I wanted to put a drop of eye drops in his closed eye but he keeps moving and it is impossible. What should I do to help my hamster?!

I love watching my hammie sleep..he is so cute. :-) I notice that sometimes he twitches his whiskers and moves his eyes as he sleeps. I know humans move their eyes during REM sleep. This is when we dream. Do hamsters have REM sleep? I wonder what he dreams about?
