lego/hammy update28 Jul 2005 21:07 GMT2
Some of you might remember when I posted some pics of Dash and her
lego home.
Well Dash went to the spa and came back much refreshed and with a new
name, Memo.  I figured that a new lego design was in order as well.
strange hamster behaviour?27 Jul 2005 01:36 GMT2
The other day, when Zan was out on the sofa she did a couple of strange
hamster things. Usually she just tries to climb up the back or the sofa
and the arms of it to escape.
The first thing she did was walk up and down the back of the sofa
Lump with Brown Spot26 Jul 2005 14:21 GMT1
Brian (Golden) is about 2 years old, she acts normally, though I've noticed
a lump on her belly, about half pea size, and on this a brown spot.
first impressions are that it could be a tumour, but what's with the
brown patch.
It's been a while but, it's done!26 Jul 2005 01:02 GMT4
I finally completed my hamster his lego house.
I've been building one and finally completed it 3 days ago.  I asked my
neihgbor for some on Dec 17 04, the day I got him.  He said the last time

Why do hamster like wheels?24 Jul 2005 11:17 GMT9
The thought just occurred to me.  Why do they like to run in their wheels so
much?  Every night our hammy is on the run again, but going nowhere fast.
Would they ever realize it's a fools venture?  Or do they do it just for the
exercise?  Sometimes she runs for a while and then ...

Re: Help my query ?22 Jul 2005 15:22 GMT6
Hello. I'm Louise.
I'm a proud owner of a gorgeous ginger and white hamster called Rocky. I
am a little concerend about his behaviour though. You see when he was a bit
younger he would go mad in his wheel, which is completely understandable,

Do hamsters get fleas?19 Jul 2005 08:53 GMT1
I was wounding if hamsters get fleas.  I'm think they got on me from my
neihgbor's cat.
He's been itching for about a 2 days.
He'd get in his tupe and go to sleep and then start itching.
My Hamster Buddy18 Jul 2005 19:48 GMT1
My hamster just recently got sick... he got a bald spot and he's less than
5 months old.  So that's the reason that I bought him a new cage with new
everything.  But, I live at a place where people take care of people and
you wouldn't believe what they made me do when they found out ...
Water Bottle Location18 Jul 2005 08:11 GMT6
I recently moved my hamster from an old cage to a new cage.  In the old
cage, his bottle was hanging from the top, in his new cage it's hanging
from the side.  I don't think he know's where it is now.  Is there a way
to train him to know where his water is?

Arent our hammies just soooo cute!!! (and clever)17 Jul 2005 18:31 GMT2
Sorry just wanted to have a moment to go on about hamsters.  My smallest
boy Ben, baby Ben I sometimes call him, is just too cute!
He has just run all over me, all over the bed, and all over the dog, who
seems to love him too, (the hamster has started grooming the dog also),
Old Age or Illness16 Jul 2005 12:56 GMT4
Our female Syrian is about 26 months old, so she has passed the 2 year  mark
now that everyone told us was her maximum life span.
She is always very active, running around her cage like a maniac, climbing
up the bars etc.  However, the last few days she has suddenly slowed right
