our dwarf hamster lost all the hair on the back third of its body. Is there
a common cause of this?

Sorry to intrude -- new person here -- but I wanted to see if anybody's
had a similar experience.
About a month ago my wife adopted a Siberian Dwarf Hamster -- which is
to say she got it for free from a pet shop to which its previous owner

Well, a week ago Thursday 8/18 the vet said, "broken back, she's a goner",
so we prepared to have a mammal rehabber euthanize her on Saturday.  I
wanted my little boy to have time to say goodbye & the hamster wasn't
suffering.

sleep much any more.
