I recently purchased a brand new hammy from a pet store. I noticed that
they had their hammies on pine shavings. I have heard that pine is not
the best alternative for bedding, but thats all they seem to sell at

Weird noises14 Oct 2005 12:31 GMT2
When I first got my hamster, whenever I tried to pick him up, he made
growling noises.  I felt like I was scaring him to death.
He stopped making those noises for the most part.  Has anyone else
gotten noises like this from a hamster?

really tell. There is a distinct difference between the two, in that one of
the mice have a huge butt/bottom protruding back toward ...

I'm worried about my hamster's eyes. They been closed and swollen for more
than a week now. Both eyes are closed, the poor little guy.
What can cause this? Hammie is getting pretty old, over 2 and 1/2 years I
think. Is it just age? Is there anything a vet could do? I don't have a ...
