I know this isn't the best group per se, but it is the best in that the proper news group for mice are empty. I came home tonight to find atleast 13 babies in my mouse cage. I'm at awe of what to do. I read online pros and cons about seperating the father,

| Ears back | 11 Nov 2005 21:18 GMT | 10 |
About two weeks ago my son brain-locked and put our rat into the cage of our 18-month-old hamster, Sprinkles, instead of the rat cage. Within seconds, the rat had bitten her on the back of the head and fairly deep into the ear.

| My dear hamster Lucy (2.0) | 09 Nov 2005 09:26 GMT | 3 |
Dear NG, I'd like to share the joys I have with my dear little hamster Lucy. She has an all over white fur, and is always alert and gentle! She adores attention and she is definetly not camera shy.

| Just got new hamster | 05 Nov 2005 01:51 GMT | 4 |
There were no hamsters at the shelter, only rats and guinea pigs. My Mom would never let me keep a rat in the house. The house was lonely without a hamster. I just got Sophie at PetsMart. She's a cream coloured short haired Syrian. She's really active and fast! I'd

Sophie is one strange hamster. She sleeps at night and goes running in the afternoon! What could cause this? This is clearly not normal. Is Sophie OK?

| his eyes are biger than his stomach.... | 04 Nov 2005 02:38 GMT | 2 |
...but his cheeks are bigger than EVERYTHING! Last night Renfield managed to stuff an entire unshelled peanut into his face. It was hilarious! His cheek was so big that he couldn't see out of that eye, as it was buried in the fur.

| Blisters on baby's eyes | 03 Nov 2005 07:29 GMT | 4 |
I'm pretty new here, but I was hoping someone here might have some ideas for me. I have three dwarf hamsters, one male and two females. One of the females had a litter of six babies about five days ago. The babies are just starting to get some fuzz, and their eyes are not open yet.

I sit here tonight, writing what is probably the most painful eulogy I've ever written for one of our friends, the only exception perhaps being one other. Exactly 1 year and 2 months from the day he came home with me, my dearest

last night was Shady`s last night with us. She had an inoperable tumour or growth on her belly. I could not find a vet who would operate on her to remove it. She was old and probably would not have survived the operation. Shady lived
