Sickly Hamster27 Jan 2006 00:52 GMT1
Recently my hamster has grown skinny, never perks his ears up, and only
has one eye opened. The top part of his fur is groomed but the bottom
part is wrangly looking and has feces on it. He has lived for about two
years and I am sure is succumbing to old age, but I was wondering if

RIP Fuzz - 11/17/04 to 01/22/0626 Jan 2006 13:05 GMT6
Early this morning, our little friend Fuzz passed away while in Judy's
hands.
We had spent a lot of the past 2 days holding him almost nonstop, as his
health had faded quickly and he wouldnt settle down unless we were holding
Domesticating a Hamster26 Jan 2006 02:21 GMT3
Hi, i bought 2 hamster yesterday. I think they must be only about 3
maybe 4 weeks old as they are very small and squeel whenever i go near
them. i get the impression they've just come out of the weaning process
or maybe have been hurt by the pet shop or pet shop supplier. Thing is
hamsters and clay22 Jan 2006 22:53 GMT1
I recently bought some clay and was thinking about making some toys (not
chew toys though!) or maybe even a playground type thing.
Would it be safe for the him?
The clay would be fired.

My big white shelter-ham is gone.
He'd been suffering from a cancerous lesion for some time now, but with
no one visible tumor there wasn't much we could do but keep him on pain
meds. They helped for a while, but I knew he hadn't much longer.
You know when you've been had!!!lol21 Jan 2006 23:36 GMT2
OK so I know I'm hamster trained. But sometimes I think the little monsters
take things just too far.
I caught Fudge putting bits of cardboard, unwanted bedding and broken nut
shells in her loo for disposal by room service (me!). I swear she grinned at
Go to Your Corner!18 Jan 2006 00:50 GMT1
Recently I got the bright idea to entertain my "Critter".  He's lived
his whole life in a standard hamster cage with the typical accessories; a
large wheel, a water bottle and a couple of food dishes.  It so happens I
have two identical cages, the type that you can buy and ...
Green Mile Hamster16 Jan 2006 22:14 GMT6
Remember that mouse from the movie "The Green Mile", Mr. Bojangles?  I
swear I have the Green Mile Hamster.  I've forgotten exactly how old Critter
is, he must be at least two and half years old.  Does anybody else have
record lifespans for their hamsters?
neglicted hamster, ideas?16 Jan 2006 02:13 GMT11
I'm hamster sitting a 6 month old dwarf hamster, who looks very smail,
frail, and very unhealthy. I know that the first few months of this
poor hamster's life was living in a very poorly kept cage (wasn't
cleaned ever and smelled awful) with its mother. I'm pretty sure that
weekend feeder?14 Jan 2006 07:58 GMT4
Hi, I'm planning on being away for a few days and wonder if there's
some sort of automatic feeding device or weekend food block that I
could buy that would provide 3 days of food for two gerbils til I
return... TIA. Jeff
Looking for parts to a very old Habitrail13 Jan 2006 01:37 GMT10
It's c. 1985 and either the Basic Set or the Deluxe Set. I'm looking
for pieces of the telescoping tube that led up to the SKY PET House,
and had a lift latch to put the tube at 3 different heights. Does
anyone know anything about this? Thank you!
RIP Harry10 Jan 2006 20:45 GMT3
Sad news to pass along - just one month after losing our little Bert,
Harry passed away yesterday.  We were not at home - we had to fly to
Pennsylvania, as my father-in-law passed away on Dec. 30th after a
long, chronic illness.  My folks were visiting from Florida and stayed
2 New Additions to the Horde - Holly and Pixie10 Jan 2006 17:07 GMT4
A few weeks back I brought home a couple more baby dwarves that needed
saving from being turned into snake food.
They were from the same litter, though from the size difference you'd never
know it, Pixie was half the size of her sister Holly at first, definately
Help!  Hamster newbie with a narcoleptic hamster09 Jan 2006 15:02 GMT12
Hiya,
I've just got a hamster after thoroughly researching the basics at least
and thought I knew most things about them.  My girlfriend bought me a
Golden Syrian for Christmas and we have him in a cage.
