Lost Hammy27 May 2006 21:07 GMT8
My wee hammy managed to escape two nights ago, he managed to get the
cage door open.  What are the chances of him coming back?  And what is
the best way to try to get him to come back? I've only had him 9 weeks
didn't think he would get the door open.
Crabby hamsters ?27 May 2006 19:46 GMT8
When I was a kid, I had a teddy bear hamster. The relationship between
us started out fine but as he got older, he seemed to get crabbier and
would bite, so things went downhill from there. I would look after him
of course ( clean his cage, keep him fed etc. ) but I no longer ...

Hamster is too thirsty23 May 2006 20:40 GMT9
Our little Meg has been on a drinking binge lately.  She downed an entire
water bottle in three days.  Her potty corner got soaked quickly too.  I see
her constantly biting and drinking from her water tube so much that the
sides of her mouth becomes soaking wet.  Then she goes ...
Hamster playing dead19 May 2006 17:25 GMT4
Last night I had my hamster out playing with her and she fell from my
hands onto the floor.  She instantly froze up and was laying on her
back, it looked like she was dead.  I proceeded to bundle her up in a
little towel and after a minute, she popped up and was back to normal.
Why Did Truffle Die?17 May 2006 23:04 GMT6
Truffle wasn`t very old but last night he died.
A Syrian with dark brown fur on either end and lighter fur in the middle
I found him this morning laying outside his nest and knew he was gone.
He`s been doing great and had been very active, running in his wheel and
Picture of Buster17 May 2006 23:03 GMT20
just thought I'd load up a picture of Buster.
Since he survived his nail clipping and we bought him a much larger
wheel (he refused to use the slightly smaller wheel in his new cage and
therefore got "Zoo Nose" by biting the bars !!), he's happier than ever.

Hamster Choking03 May 2006 11:23 GMT12
My hamster Bob has something bloking his windpipe and has been choking
for over a day, he can breath slightly but cannot eat nor drink.
Does anyone know of any way to dislodge something from a hamsters
throat.
Teddy bear hamster03 May 2006 01:18 GMT5
I'm hand raising a 1 week old teddy bear hamster.   Mom hammie died.  I
tried to go online finding more info about it.  Nothing has help me.  If
you could send me some helpful links that I can read about orphan
hamsters or hand raising them.   I've been feeding it with special care
How to Smuggle a Hamster Aboard an Airplane03 May 2006 01:15 GMT5
I'm a college student and home is a 4 hour flight away from where I go
to school. Several times in the past year I've faced the problem of
what to do with my little hamster when I'm flying home for a vacation
or something. Willing hamstersitters are hard to find, especially ones
New Addition to The Horde - Fluffy03 May 2006 01:06 GMT5
We're not sure of his background, but this little fellow showed up at our
store missing his left eye.
We dont know if he was born that way or lost it fighting or to some careless
owner.
