Licorice bites31 Aug 2006 03:07 GMT25
My new hamster now two weeks with me just does not seem to getting any more
friendly. I have been trying to get close to him but after a mean bite
yesterday I am afraid he may just be one of those hammies that will not
allow anyone to handle him. I wonder how many others like him ...
New Addition to the Horde - Pearl29 Aug 2006 02:41 GMT3
So yesterday we had to go back to my old pet store to get food for our
cichlid (a fish we call "Blue") and lo and behold they have TONS of dwarf
hamsters in the tanks, way more than they should.
In the mix of fur, there were 2 males who were pure black , and 1 female.

Say Hello To Captain Jack26 Aug 2006 23:35 GMT4
I'm new to the message board, as it was only yesterday that I got my
new Syrian, Captain Jack. He is a creamy color with black eyes.
We bought him a Critter Trail X which has a wheel on it's roof... which
he has taken to sleeping in! This is very cute but means that when he
RIP Scruff - 07/14/04 to 08/24/0625 Aug 2006 09:19 GMT4
Tonight our dear little Scruff passed away while I held him in my hands.  =(
He came home with me after being returned by a lady who's young son was
afraid of him.
I can't see why he would be afraid, Scruff was one of the friendliest most

Well, this morning I took my lil hamster to the vet & it wasn't good
news. Last wednesday he devloped a swollen nose....So I was hoping it

unfortinly the dr said it's most likely cancer. :( I don't know how a

Hi, just wanted to say I'm a 30 year old single guy with a hamster, so
they're not just for kids.
Also, I had a question .. I had to make a trip to London for 3 weeks and
left my hamster with a close friend to take care of.  She used to use a food
Food amounts14 Aug 2006 23:27 GMT1
I leave a small portion of hamster food mix in my hamster's bowl each
evening. By the morning the whole bowl has gone and it is all piled up
in his 'bedroom' (most of which, is left uneaten by the end of the week
when I clean his cage).
Solomon Is Slowing Down13 Aug 2006 13:20 GMT6
He may have had a stroke. He was still kinda perky last week as I cleaned

some walnut from my hand. He sleeps all the time andmoves real slow. He

Hi. I know all hamsters are nocternal people.  But this latest hamster
who started living with us from about a months ago sleeps day and
night.  Only time she is awake is between 7 pm to about 9:30 pm.  She
doesn't seem to like to be touched that much either, unlike other
Flea collars for Hamsters?07 Aug 2006 10:26 GMT10
My new guy seems to be continually scratching so much that he reminds me of
a dog with fleas. I am watching him this morning when he should be fast
asleep but he seems so restless scratching away and biting himself. He was
taken from a tank where the hamsters are kept inside a ...

I have been looking for a hamster that is the size of the Syrians I used to
have but I am having a hard time getting anyone to tell me that is what they
have. I saw a beautiful pair of Black Bear hammies that looked like they
might be Syrians that may have been young. If they ...
