| More Pictures! :D | 31 Aug 2003 04:47 GMT | 4 |
I visited a member of our local club (DFWMAS), and had my camera ready! Peter bought a show tank from MACNA last year, the one Joy at Harbor Aquatics used to display and sell her clams and SPS corals. A year later, and this is what he has to show for it.

| Feeding Volitain's | 30 Aug 2003 18:57 GMT | 3 |
I want to wean my Lionfish from feeders, (for it's health) but I can't seem to get him to eat frozen foods. He ate a piece of krill ONCE but that's it. Even if I wave it in front of it's mouth, it doesn't bite. My reference books tell me not to feed it for a few days and ...

| How many times does your chiller cycle per day? | 30 Aug 2003 15:12 GMT | 2 |
Obviously when choosing a chiller, you need one with adequate hp to lower the tank temp to the desired temp. On the other hand, a chiller that is too powerful for a tank may end up cycling only for brief periods of time, but many times during the day, shortening its

| Considering a Lionfish | 30 Aug 2003 08:47 GMT | 3 |
I have had a tropical tank setup for a while now but have never braved the realms of marine fish (horror stories mainly). I have considered getting a single lionfish in a fairly small tank (1 to 2 ft width) as it is a fish I have always loved and wanted to get. The local

Hi guys. How's it going? Can anyone point me to a web site that discusses all the various chillers on the market? How about over-flow units? Top off devices? Proper way to introduce a starfish to a system? Thanks!!!

| help critique my plumbing/sump design | 29 Aug 2003 20:39 GMT | 1 |
Several days ago I posted a bunch of sump design questions to this group. Marc was kind enough to answer some of them and point me to his nice web site that answered more of my questions. We are about to move offices at work. My group has a 90gal reef

| What is the quietest protien skimmer for a 55G | 29 Aug 2003 20:13 GMT | 3 |
I have a 55G tank with a cpr bakpak 2 skimmer on it. The noise is too much. Is there such a thing as a silent skimmer? The reason I bought the bak pak 2 was because it was supposed to be a quiet skimmer, but I find it hard to believe that there isnt something out there quieter.

| Very high temp Help Quick | 29 Aug 2003 13:34 GMT | 4 |
I came home to my tank at 90+ degrees. The snails are dead, the corals look like crap and the hippo tang is going nuts. How should I bring this temp down and how fast. I have a fan on it now, but should I add ice in a plastic bag or something?

| New SPS pictures | 28 Aug 2003 22:13 GMT | 2 |
Now that my MH are installed, I was finally about to pick up a bunch of SPS for my 55g. However, I don't really know what's what, so feel free to fill in any blanks with either the common or the scientific names. That way I'll know which coral I'm reading about if someone else ...
