| Is ReefGeek.com out of business? | 24 Aug 2003 22:27 GMT | 2 |
I'd like to order some stuff from http://www.reefgeek.com on Monday. I emailed them a couple times at more than one email address this past week with some questions, but I never got an answer. Are they out of business or something? :0

| Feeding yellow or golden head gobies | 24 Aug 2003 16:53 GMT | 1 |
I bought yellow head gobies ( valencianna strigata - for id see https://www.aquacon.com/images/si19.htm) on two occasions a few years back, they sifted sands great for about a week or 10 days then disappeared into the live rocks. I presumed they perished for lack of

You know you are in Texas in July when.. The birds have to use potholders to pull worms out of the ground. The trees are whistling for the dogs.

| Cup Coral | 23 Aug 2003 18:03 GMT | 2 |
So a few weeks ago I was at the LFS and noticed this pretty little cup coral was on sale. I had never read anything about cup corals but was told their care was pretty straight forward. Well I got it home, put it in my tank and everything was fine. Two weeks passed and I decided ...

| Lighting: PC ballast/socket & pin configurations | 23 Aug 2003 16:12 GMT | 2 |
I've been shopping for a ballast for a retro PC install. I found a couple good deals on Fulham Workhorse ballasts. In specific I'm looking at the Workhorse 5 Long 120V/128W (http://www.fulham.com/wh5.html).

| Fraggin' | 23 Aug 2003 01:13 GMT | 5 |
Is there a *right* way or a *wrong* way to frag a mushroom polyp? I took a surgical blade and split one of my polyps and shortly (two weeks) I had 2 mushrooms. I did the same thing right after noticing the one polyp became two polyps and while hoping for 4 polyps, I now have 0 ...

| Sump 10X bigger than Aquarium? | 22 Aug 2003 21:13 GMT | 2 |
I was wondering if anyone ever ran a reef system where the sump volume was much larger than the tank volume. Although obviously there would be some additional up-front costs to creating such a system (inital Salt mix, live sand, sump costs) I wonder if such a system would save

| Bristle worms and reef tank | 22 Aug 2003 21:08 GMT | 1 |
Hello; I just spotted one in my 125 gal reef tank and it's got to be almost a foot long. I've read contradictory stuff on these worms but are they dangerous to other reef inhabitants and corals when they get this big? I haven't seen any

| The dreaded red slime | 22 Aug 2003 17:05 GMT | 4 |
Can old MH bulbs be the reason I am suddenly seeing red slime algae? My 92 gal tank is an established tank that has been up and running of about 1 1/2 years. It is a upgrade from a 55 gal that i have for 5-6 yeatrs. I have never had a problem with red slime algae or any other

| Advice on how to clean up an old tank ... | 21 Aug 2003 14:51 GMT | 2 |
Got a couple tanks (30g, different dimensions) and an old refugium today for practically nothing. The refugium is made out of acrylic, and the tanks are glass. All items were sitting in a garage unused for a couple years, and have

| Coralife Aqualight Question (Was FAQ Review) | 21 Aug 2003 05:53 GMT | 2 |
Well, I most certainly DO want a reef setup... Eventually. I just cant afford everything at once at the moment. My plan was to set up a FO and eventually ease in to it. Anyway, I have been researching lights and I really like the coralife

| Crabs, Damsels, and other musings.... | 21 Aug 2003 02:47 GMT | 5 |
Yesterday I got two gorgeous, rather huge Emerald crabs who seem to be making themselves right at home in my tank. One of them even began pulling of chunks of hair algea and chowing down. I didn't know they'd eat that stuff but I am not going to complain about it. However, the ...

| Jellyfish? | 21 Aug 2003 02:41 GMT | 3 |
My daughter just brought back from Sandy Hook beach (NJ) about 1/2 dozen animals (jellyfish?), that resemble a 1/4 inch disc, the size of a 1/2 dollar. The water she transported them in, was very cold, because she placed the
