Thinking Tiny Redux12 Aug 2003 18:56 GMT6
Still waiting for the armageddon which I was assured would come later
rather than sooner.  Short recap: I made a *just add water* instant
saltwater aquarium, complete with fish and live rock and minimal
lighting and (oh no!) undergravel filter, all within one hour.  Thirty
Hang on pumps12 Aug 2003 02:22 GMT2
I have a few pumps that I would to like use for water
movement in my tanks. The rubber suction cups never hold
and I either lost or never got the hang on clips. Is there some way to fix
these to the tank at different levels that you have used? They are
Thinking of redoing my plumbing11 Aug 2003 12:05 GMT1
Thinking about it...
Currently I have a separate pump running my chiller.  For the sake of noise
I have it on the temp controller with the chiller.  I know it isn't good for
the pump.  My return pump is a Mag7 as well.

Has this ever happend to you?10 Aug 2003 15:54 GMT3
I stopped by my classroom this evening for just a couple of minutes to check
on my aquariums.  Thursday I added to my 55 gallon tank an "algae pack" from
That Fish Place.  I wanted to make sure those critters were doing okay and
to test the water.  Everything was going fine.  I then ...

Grape Algae going sexual?10 Aug 2003 04:12 GMT1
I have quite a bit of grape algae in my tank and have heard it can go
sexual.  How do you avoid having this happen?  Do you control the
amount in the refugium or is there a stage in it's growth that you
know you have to remove it?

As some of you may know, I am in the process of setting up my first

Just another newbie question09 Aug 2003 05:33 GMT5
I was into freshwater tanks a few years back, and tried salt water
once with two damsels in a 10 gallon tank.  They didn't make
it:-(.  I was told that the chemistry of salt water is too delicate
for such small self-contained tanks.  I was thinking of getting

Hi, I have a 1 1/2 month old 60gal tank w/ about 30-35 lbs of live
rock and 60 lbs of aragonite sand.  A few weeks ago, I've had a bad
problem with this purple/reddish fast growing stuff on my sand and
glass!  It is now beginning to slowly appear on some rocks. I sifted
