I finally got my new 29g to not shock me anymore (an electrician ran a dedicated 20A circuit with a GFCI for me) Now, with the chiller pulling the water down from a steamy 90F to 80F, I am ready to drop a shrimp into the water to make ammonia and cycle the tank.

Im here in the UK and i am setting up a DSB in an external tank. I read alot about Southdown playsand and likewise but im assuming that there trade names and obviously we dont have the same over here.. Wickes and The Early learning centre do playsand for childrens sandpits, is

My sarcphyton soft coral is currently only extending its' polyps at night nowadays nothing has changed recently, other corals are ok but the sarco does not come out when the lights are on any more. It used to have brilliant polyp extensions.

I replaced my Seaclone piece of junk last Friday with an Aqua C Remora Pro with the skim box and Mag 3 pump. Everything is setup and level. Per the instructions I washed the unit in warm water prior to installing it to clean off oils from the manufacturing process.

Can a PS generate current into the sump that it is sitting in ? Last night I was able to put my hand into my sump, now, 8 hours of running time later, I get a mild, but nonetheless unpleasant shock that does not seem to discharge or kick my GFCI.
