I'm looking at a used tank (180 gallon). It has a number of pre drilled holes in the bottom running down the middle (4 or 5). What would you do with these? They had to have been made for some purpose, but I can't think of what it is.

Can anyone point me to a link for a Four stage RO/DI unit schematic. I can't seem to get it back together properly. My system has a drinking water kit with holding tank, faucet, and seperate pressure guage, and a Kent shutoff valve attached to the end of the RO unit housing.

i have some white coloured growth on my LR. the growth happened almost over night. i tried scrapping the growth off and the particles just floats to the surface like those paint peels. and the area beneath the growth are tender to the touch. it's feels like it's hollow underneath.

I am considering purchase of HOT type refugium for my 30g reef. I could not find it in any LFS and pictures on websites are not good so I have couple questions. Possibly someone on this group has it and can answer my questions.

Anyone know the suggested wattage per gallon for compact flourecent lights? I had MH and typically ran no less than 5 watts per gallon (though I had more like 8). CF lights are a lot brighter / watt. Right now I'm running about 2.5

I recently added a CoraLive turbotwist 9watt to my sump to fight the pest algae in my tank (cyno mostly) Anyone have any experiance with these or similar units? How long before they make a difference? I am running it with an 802 powerhead 24 hours a day. Its in my 20 gal sump
