I had a pair of adult Lysmata amboinensis for more than

the tank in unknown circumstances... Probalby has been eaten
without leaving any traces of body remains...

General questions28 Sep 2003 15:54 GMT2
I started a 30 gal tank in march and put 15 lbs LR and 10lbs LS.  I
cycled it for 2 months and then added several fish all at once which
turned out not to work, b/c they all died except my fire shrimp.  I
then waited until Sep and added several turbo snails, a red-footed
will hermit crabs eat peppermint shrimp?28 Sep 2003 14:24 GMT10

r.a.m.reefers' websites28 Sep 2003 14:06 GMT1
A very pleasant custom in rec.ponds is giving the urls to posters'
sites.  I would very much enjoy seeing the tanks belonging to
frequenters of this group.  The advice given here has value regardless,
but it does give added substance to the suggestions to see the effects
Cycling with live rock28 Sep 2003 06:47 GMT14
I have 29 gallon that is ready to be built but my question is can I start
cycling the tank with maybe 5 pounds of live rock and just sand and add 5
pounds every two weeks until I get about 30 pounds then add fish? OR should
I just wait until I can afford to add all the live rock at ...
Power Heads???28 Sep 2003 04:18 GMT7
I have a question about power heads and the amount of current SW fish will
tolerate.
I started my 120FW with 4 power heads and the current was so strong that
most of the fish in my tank could not hover still anywhere in the tank
Newbie Setup questions27 Sep 2003 16:26 GMT1
I just found this board last night and the timing is perfect. I am getting
ready to put together my first reef tank after about a year of maintaining 2
fish only setups. I just ordered a 90g acrylic tank and have pretty much lined
out the majority of the system as far as my sump ...

this

What Are the Odds?!?27 Sep 2003 01:22 GMT13
I got in to work this morning and found that overnight, one of my tanks
bottom glass "gave out".
I didnt realise what had happened right away...
I had assumed that the bottom seal gave out so naturally I took everything
Feather duster worm26 Sep 2003 22:42 GMT4
Thanks for the reply. I wasn't aware a feather duster worm looks much like some
sort of plant. This poor illustration below this text is similar to what it
looks like.

anemone ?26 Sep 2003 22:23 GMT2
About a month ago I updated my 20g FOWLR tank to a 55g.  I gave my
damsels their own tank at the same time so I could keep other species.
Well after Isabel passed (just got power back) I went to the beach and
rescued some critters from one of the "New" inland salt water lakes and

Hey Pzemol26 Sep 2003 19:24 GMT9
I found a photo on a website that is identical to my hermit, it's
idenfied as a blue-legged hermit crab, but it doesn't actually have any
blue on it.  www.saltaquarium.about.com   in the FINS index it's
identical to the first pic that shows up.
Is my algae growth excessive?26 Sep 2003 19:02 GMT2
I have a 150 gallon two-year-old reef tank.  Approximately two months
ago, I upgraded my lighting with the addition of a 250 watt HQI MH to
supplement my existing approximate 550 watts of VHO lighting.  I
currently have approximately 150 turbo snails, and approximately 175
