I'd like comments on this design. I have a standard 55 gallon. I'm wondering if drilling a hole for a 1.5 " bulkhead about 6" from the top of the tank, a 90% elbow and standpipe would work? I'd like to reduce the exit of the bulkhead

Has any one heard or use this filter and if so how do you like it or do you have any complaints. I currently have a millennium power filter in a small mini reef aquarium and I do have a nitrate problem. Is Via Aqua a good buy for this problem that I have or is it a waste of $$$

Are there any problems with running two separate light periods per day? (MH) For example, 7am-12pm and 4pm-9pm, instead of one 10 hr period say from 10am to 8pm. Cheers,

I went to my local Fish Store tonight, I was looking for a test kit. The person there told me that Lamonte Harness Test Kits, although are more expensive, is a better kit to buy. Is this true, or Bovine fecol matter. The kit is for Magnesium , Calcium and Water Hardness.
