OK  now i followed the directions the correct way and received the following
hardness:  5160
calcium         619
magnisum   4541

I've just change water, (about 10%) in my 250 gal tank. But still i have
very high KH about 20 dKH, and calcium 380 ppm. I turned off my
calciumreaktor and calcium mixer, and just add CaCl2 and NaHCO3 (Balling
method). How can I low the KH, and raise Ca. Ph is 7,95-8,20. My OR water ...

Not having RIO pump before I have read many warnings on several
newsgroups to not buy them... When my refugium finally arrived from
Dr FostersSmits.com I realised that RIO 400 pump was in the set.
Frightened I am asking: what will go wrong with it and when? :-))

Just came across a new bulb that Aqualine has just put out apparently.
It is a 250 watt double-ended HQI bulb with a 13K color temp.  This
is exactly what I need since I have been a little unhappy with the

Have a quick question. On a new piece of live rock I have what may be
Aiptasia. I will remove it if indeed it is. From the photos I can find it is
similar in appearance, but when touch it can totally retract into the rock.

I have purchased Fiji  Live Rock from an online supplier, Marine Depot.
I placed my order Thursday morning, 10-9 for overnight shipment. After
tracking the shipment, I discovered that it will not be delivered until

I want to set up a marine tank (I think its about 35 gallon) with 4 or 5
fish and some live rock *maybe* coral. Can I use sand from the beach? This
is of coarse a salt water beach. If I can is rinsing enough or is there a
better way to clean it?

i am new to marine tank keeping. would like to know what type of water do i
use to top up my tank water level due to evaporation. my evaporation is very
fast bacause i am using 2 fans to cool my water.

I tried on rec.aquaria.misc and got no responses.  Maybe these groups are
more active.
Any good stores near Monterey, CA?  (Salinas, Gilroy, Santa Cruz, San Jose,
etc.)?  I know of stores in Marina and Seaside.  Anything in the San

viruses. That notice from Microsoft you got in your email about a security
patch was not from Microsoft. It was a virus...To kill it see the link.
