BlueLine HD Series External Pumps08 Nov 2003 05:51 GMT8
I have read a lot about Iwaki pumps, their good reputation
for being quiet and reliable. I just found Blueline pumps on
the ChampionLighting.com website and I am interested in them.
Anybody here owns one like this? Would you recommend it?
Can this be for real?08 Nov 2003 04:49 GMT2
Just came back from shopping and I stopped into a shop that has been
favorable mentioned here. They have on display and are selling a glass
tank (probably no more than 30 gal or less), complete with lighting and
a some kind of built in media filter. Kind of an all in one kit - ...
Tips on removing a Goby from my tank08 Nov 2003 04:41 GMT2
I have a 90 gallon setup that currently has a few fish in it that I am going to
be moving to a different tank. Does anyone have suggestions on catching a
spotted prawn goby ( approx 4-5 inches ) without tearing about the rock
structure and such. I have seen traps on various websites ...
Calcium Test Kit Readings08 Nov 2003 04:40 GMT16
I just wanted to see what others' experiences were reguarding their Calcium
Test Kits.
I recently bought one that was on sale at an LFS and I am unhappy with it.
The reason being is that the color change of the fluid is so gradual that it
RODI-Slimy Can08 Nov 2003 03:26 GMT1
I miss Tif & Ryan. I wonder how Tif is doing now that she is down in Florida
;).
Anyone know how to keep the can from getting slimy? I try to boil bleach and
rinse the can out once a day. Why does it keep getting slimy? Why do my
thatfishplace.com livestock/live rock08 Nov 2003 02:04 GMT1
Has anyone been to that fish place in Lancaster PA recently?
How's their fish room and live rock?  I went there about 5 years ago
and at the time it was quite pathetic...and not well maintained.

Reduce Sump Refill Maintenance, cheap way07 Nov 2003 18:17 GMT4
i have a neat idea for those of you that dont like to add water frequently,
reduces maintence, easy. I took a 5 gal bucket last week, brought it home
with fresh RO, like usual, but got an idea this time, took a siphon hose,
attached it to sump, now theyre one.  have 4 more gallons ...
Tank padding?07 Nov 2003 15:01 GMT6
Hi;
I read about putting some kind of pad under a tank to even out the pressures
from the stand and tank bottom but no one gives the material.
What sort of material?  Styrofoam?
Making the leap from freswater to Marine07 Nov 2003 14:35 GMT3
Howdy all.  I've been lurking a bit, and reading posts, and my desire for a
marine aquarium is growing ever stronger.  I have kept tropical aquariums in
the past, and am planning on creating a "river tank" set up that is half
land and half water to house some fish and amphibians.  ...
Will CopperSafe ich medication "kill" Live Rock07 Nov 2003 09:45 GMT6
Before I go and buy a batch of Live Rock (considering the
liveaquaria.com premium fiji) I am concerned about using a copper
medication such as "CopperSafe" for addressing any ich outbreaks.
QUESTION: Will the CopperSafe kill my live-rock? what about the
coralline algae07 Nov 2003 09:34 GMT3
Anyone around here know the benefits of coralline algae, its pretty prolific
in my tank right now(? I know thats its presence in the tank means
conditions are good, but I was wondering if thats all its really good for,
as an indicator.
Sump volume and recommended pump discharge07 Nov 2003 05:15 GMT3
Have you found any table on the net with some recommendation
for pump discharge, sump volume for specific tank sizes?
I am ready to upgrade my 30gallons minireef setup and add sump.
Ideally I would like to remove all internal powerheads and
