| Orange Polyp | 05 Nov 2003 04:26 GMT | 2 |
I have what appears to be an Orange Sand polyp growing on my LR. The polyp is just about 1/8" in diameter and appeared two days ago. Might more appear near it in the future? Any guess as to when? Also, there is a gray slime covering the purple (coraline algae?) parts of

My tank is about 3 months old. My nitrates are between 5-10ppm. It's a 75gal w/ 265w PC a 4" DSB and so far I have accumulated 45lbs of LR. I've recently discovered coralline algae growth! I know I should wait about a minimum of 6 months to start adding coral.

| BETTER IDEA - Re: Reduce Sump Refill Maintenance, cheap way | 04 Nov 2003 06:26 GMT | 9 |
Seems like a better idea would be to model a system after the "automatic watering" dog/cat bowls. Or the standard office water-cooler. A sealed semi-hard "reservoir" container is suspended upside down and

So while getting my sand out of the leaking tank and into the hastily bought new one it got mixed up obviously and the water is very very murky. I am currently running two on the back filters to try and clean it up and it sat over night (hoping it would settle). It does appear to be ...
