I'm afraid I have an Aipstasia hitch-hiker on a piece of LR...Can I just put
it in freshwater for a couple hours to kill it?  Will that hurt the coraline
algae?

   My tank is about 3 months old.  My nitrates are between 5-10ppm.
   It's a 75gal w/ 265w PC a 4" DSB and so far I have accumulated 45lbs of
LR.  I've recently discovered coralline algae growth!
   I know I should wait about a minimum of 6 months to start adding coral.

I'm in the process of setting up my 55 gal. SW reef tank. I'll be supporting
my LR on a PVC frame.
I'm considering drilling holes in the PVC frame system and connecting an
additional power pump to circulate water from underneath and through the LR

shrimp they are red with white stripes. Will they survive the cycling
